Fun facts about the dog

The ones Sammy likes best. She tells them in the game, too.

  1. Every dog's nose print is different from all the others, just like your fingerprints.

  2. Dalmatian puppies are born all white and get their spots a few weeks later.

  3. Dogs have a special eyebrow muscle for making sweet puppy eyes, and wolves mostly don't have it.

  4. A dog's nose can smell things many thousands of times better than yours.

  5. Dogs sweat through the pads on their paws and cool down by panting with their tongues out.

  6. Dogs can hear a special dog whistle that sounds totally silent to people.

  7. When you point at something, a dog understands and looks, which even chimpanzees find hard.

  8. Happy dogs tend to wag their tails more to the right side.

Riddle

Can a friend guess it?

Read the clues to someone, one at a time, without saying the animal. How many clues do they need? Fewer is better, just like in the game.

  1. I live with people all over the world, in houses, on farms and in city streets.

  2. Some of us are smaller than a cat, and some stand as tall as your chest.

  3. My nose print is different from everyone else's, just like your fingerprints.

  4. I can hear a special whistle that sounds totally silent to you.

  5. I wag my tail when I'm happy, and I say "woof woof" to greet you.

Sammy might be thinking of a dog.

In Thought Zoo, Sammy picks an animal and you ask her yes-or-no questions to find it. You'll find the dog in the Farm adventure. It's free to play.
